Every year-end, it's the same story. For teachers, program directors, and instructional designers, the crucial moment arrives to gather student feedback. And often, it's a real headache.
Paper forms are filled out hastily. Surveys sent by email often go unanswered. And the few responses received are too vague to be truly useful.
At Complement, we wanted to change this logic . That's why we are launching a new feature today, directly integrated into the learner experience: assessment questions, asked orally by the avatar to the learners.
We recently tested this feature with first-year Master's students in Digital Marketing at IESEG School of Management. At the end of their review module on Complement, several assessment questions were asked by the AI avatar directly within the course flow.
The students were able to respond orally, in just a few seconds, spontaneously. They gave their opinions on the module, but also on the tool itself, talking about their experience, the usefulness of the oral quizzes, the clarity of the explanations…
This feedback was then automatically centralized in the module's dashboard , with intelligent analysis by AI . The result: concrete opinions, categorized by theme, immediately usable to improve future versions of the course.
Thanks to this feature, there's no need to leave the platform or ask learners to fill out yet another form after their session. The AI avatar asks the question verbally, naturally, at the appropriate moment in the module. The learner responds in the same format, without interruption.
This integration makes the act of evaluating more fluid, more human… and above all, more efficient .
You can insert these questions wherever you like: at the end of a dense chapter, after a key activity, or simply at the end of the module. The feedback is qualitative, sincere, directly related to the content, and much richer than cold, multiple-choice answers.
All responses are stored in a dedicated section of the Complement dashboard. They are automatically analyzed to highlight commonalities, the most frequent suggestions, and weak signals.
This allows you to identify what worked well, what was lacking, and what you could improve. A true tool for continuous improvement , aligned with Complement's mission from the beginning: to create evolving training programs that are enriched with use.
Julie, a trainer at a vocational training center, was among the first to test the platform's creator version. She hasn't yet launched a module with her students, but this new feature particularly appeals to her:
“I often struggle to get honest or useful feedback on my training courses. Here, my learners will be able to tell me what they thought immediately, directly within the tool. That's exactly what I was missing. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it goes.”
