As a co-founder of Complement, I'm always excited to see our tool come to life in the hands of users. Last week, I was able to attend the launch of a revision module at IESEG School of Management, for students in the first year of the Master's program in Digital Marketing.
The adventure began with Lana Mulier, a marketing professor who wanted to offer an interactive revision experience to her 95 students for her Digital Content course. She prepared a revision module on our platform, selecting key slides from her course materials and then transforming her PowerPoint into interactive content with quizzes and interactions with a conversational AI avatar. It took her less than two hours to launch a comprehensive, streamlined revision module focused on the essential concepts needed for the exam.
On the day of the event, I went to the lecture hall to support the students during their last morning of classes. After a brief presentation of Complement and the experiment, the students logged into the platform. What was initially planned as a simple review session before their group project presentations turned into a true immersion in our tool for the students. They found themselves answering questions and participating in oral scenarios, explaining the various concepts covered in class, and listening again to the explanations and definitions provided by the AI avatar.

What made this morning so special was seeing the students get so involved. Our dashboard literally exploded with:
But beyond the numbers, it was the students' words that touched me the most. They were able to give their opinion on the solution to the avatar on Complement, and many came to see me directly to tell me what it had brought them at the end of the morning.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive: 93.5% of students expressed a positive appreciation of the experience, and none had negative feedback. When asked if they could take a full course on our application, 71.4% answered "Yes".
But it was the detailed comments that resonated the most. One student shared: “ I really like this interactive format because it forces us to stay focused on the lesson. Also, it doesn't feel like we're in a lecture but rather in a discussion about current topics, which is great for learning. ” Another emphasized: “ I much prefer this format [to videos] because the avatar customization allows me to shape it in the way that best helps me follow the lesson. There are open-ended questions to think about for better revision, and we have the answers to those questions, and we can ask further questions. ”
What stood out was the interactive and personalized nature of our solution. Students appreciated being able to ask questions, get instant answers, and feel that the avatar adapted to their needs. As one student aptly put it, " It's almost more natural than a video, surprisingly. "
We also saw them all choose an avatar from the 4 available, select a personality that matches their needs, and adjust the voice speed - usually to x1.5 or x2. Another notable point is that they keep the menu, containing the conversation transcript, open on the application so they can reread what was just said when they've taken a few seconds off.

At the end of the morning, students still had access to the platform, and many went on to complete the review module. This trial was a real success, both for the students who arrived at the exam better prepared and for the teacher who was looking for a fun and easy-to-implement way to refresh their memories. We are now in discussions with the other marketing department teachers to implement the solution permanently for other subjects in September.
I left IESEG this morning with the feeling that Complement brings real added value to its users, whether for flipped classrooms, revision sessions, or fully online courses. Hearing a struggling international student ask me, "Thank you so much for what you do. Could we have revision modules in other subjects before the exams?" is invaluable. It reminds me why we created Complement: to make e-learning more interactive, more personalized, and, above all, more human.
